Tamni is a young and eager human artificer on Kaladesh.
History[ | ]
Tamni was with Renegade Prime Pia Nalaar working on a thopter, when it caught fire, nearly causing Tamni to fall. Pia quickly extinguished the flames and reassured a flustered Tamni, who admitted that she exaggerated her experience to join the project. Pia guided Tamni through diagnosing and fixing the thopter, teaching her to pay attention to the machine's signals. After resolving the issue, Pia demonstrated her quicksmithing skills, crafting a new, intricate thopter. Through the process, Tamni learned valuable lessons about quicksmithing and working with aether.
Tamni witnessed Pia being arrested by the Consulate and later met with Ajani Goldmane. He stooped to speak with her and asked what she had seen. Tamni described the scene where the Consulate had surrounded Pia with one member of the Consulate having a primitive, violet-lit mechanical arm. She recounted seeing Grandmother Pashiri and three other women — one with red hair, another in a black dress, and a third in green clothing. The Consulate took Pia away, and after a brief argument, the woman in black left, while Pashiri led the other two toward Kujar, a heavily patrolled, wealthy neighborhood.
Tamni, feeling guilty for only watching, was reassured by Ajani that charging into battle unprepared would have been foolish. He acknowledged her bravery in witnessing and sharing the events, thanking her for telling the story. Tamni, still emotional, turned and left swiftly.
