Overhaul[edit source]

I have prepared a new, cleaner version of this template at User:Fenhl/Sandbox/Intro packs and would like to move it here. Any objections? —Fenhl 18:04, 18 March 2016 (UTC)

No objection from my side, when it works, and we don't have to adapt all parameter across the board. Go for it. :) - Yandere Sliver H09 symbol.png 19:03, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
Actually, parameters would have to be adapted. The syntax is not compatible with the current one. —Fenhl 22:44, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
What I am currently thinking is: Can we somehow combine the event decks, theme deck, intro packs etc using your template? This way we could create a new template (perhaps simply called "decks") and move backwards through all expansions to phase out the older templates. Because with will take quite a while. - Yandere Sliver H09 symbol.png 00:09, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
I will have a look at implementing this. —Fenhl 11:38, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
Done. {{Decks}} is now a thing. —Fenhl 15:22, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
Impressive. Most impressive... This way we have the time to go back on expansion at a time to phase out the older templates. Clash packs are missing, but that can be implemented as we go along. We only had 3 or so anyway. - Yandere Sliver H09 symbol.png 17:10, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
There are still some things that need to be tweaked before we can use it everywhere. It linking to Battle for Zendikar/Event decks instead of Battle for Zendikar/Event deck is a minor thing, but it also does not yet recognize decks that have their own articles, like the Commander decks. For that, I'm trying to figure out a way to detect whether an article is a redirect. Any ideas? —Fenhl
I just updated the logic. It is pretty straight forward. As soon as the 5th parameter is set, the subpage gets pluralized. :) - Yandere Sliver H09 symbol.png 17:31, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
I miss some "background-color" for some greys in your new template --Tuamir (talk) 22:58, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
This was intentionally left out as wikitable styling looks better in my opinion. If it should look different, that should be implemented via the site CSS. —Fenhl 11:40, 19 March 2016 (UTC)

Can be removed[edit source]

This template is no longer used anywhere on the wiki, having been replaced by {{Decks}}, so it can be deleted or changed to a redirect to Template:Decks or whatever. —Fenhl 08:45, 30 April 2016 (UTC)

Done --Hunter (talk) 09:45, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
Same goes for {{Clash pack}}, {{Event deck}}, {{Event decks}}, and {{Theme decks}}. —Fenhl 09:57, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
