Terashi (tair-ASH-ee / teh-RAH-shee)[1] is a kami from Kamigawa. It is the great kami of the sun.[2]

Description[]

Terashi's appearance defies description. Its most significant feature is a floating giant glowing ball resembling the sun but less bright. Around this ball is a black skeletal framework, underneath which is a giant face with sharp teeth and glowing eyes. Giant glowing lanterns float in the air around the central part, with long orange ribbons evoking flames hanging down to the ground.[3]

History[]

Terashi was one of the favored kami of Takeshi Konda, and a shrine to the Sun Kami was set up in Eiganjo. However, when Kyodai was taken from the spirit realm, Terashi's shrine was replaced by one erected for Takeshi's immortality.[4]
