Tetzimoc, "death itself,"[1] is an elder dinosaur from Ixalan.
Description[ | ]
Tetzimoc is covered in quills and spines that quiver and can be launched in thick volleys.[1] It is guarded by aegisaur lieutenants.
History[ | ]
The opening of the golden city revealed the enormous elder dinosaurs, which were held in stasis during Orazca's long hibernation in the earth. Each of these monsters embodies one aspect of the magic of the land: the spined Tetzimoc is a manifestation of black mana and the eternal hunger of death itself.[2]
During New Phyrexia's Invasion of the Multiverse, Tetzimoc and the other Elder Dinosaurs were summoned by Huatli to battle the intruders.[1]
Trivia[ | ]
- Tetzimoc's design was inspired by the character Armadon from the fighting game Primal Rage.[3]
