The Thunder Thrash, later known as the Skyclaw Thrash, is a criminal Viashino clan from Alara led by Elder Jkkhah. They have been known as the Lost Thrash and the Etherium Thunder. They have been wanted for theft of etherium (methods unknown), unlawful implantation of etherium (methods unknown), assault, intimidation, violence on academy grounds, and airspace violations (methods unknown). Once from Jund, they ended up on Esper stealing and gaining Etherium enhancements.
History[ | ]
The Thunder Thrash is a notorious Viashino clan on Jund known to have been one of the most vicious, bloodthirsty, and instinct-driven clans on the plane. They were known for their legendary dragon hunts and more infamous for their human hunts. They had great success on a cutthroat plane despite being known to be somewhat thick-skulled and primitive. It is believed they possess an even smaller brain pan than some goblins as the Thunder Thrash never excelled at feats of memory, intuition, or conceptual thought.
This all changes when their blood-raids took them to the shard of Esper and they were surrounded by a culture founded on intellect. When they first arrived they met with their traditional success, focusing on brazen surprise and a natural immunity to mind control to smash their way against the Esper mage forces. The mages quickly adapted to their strength, however, and they started to lose many of their numbers.
Eventually, an elder known as Jkkhah led the thrash to attack a facility that was a temporary wartime storehouse for etherium. They overpowered the vedalken and homunculus guardians and fled with no one seen leaving the facility for days. An Esper army was assembled to take back the etherium but the Thunder Thrash emerged with strange etherium enhancements suffusing their muscular frames. Their etherium was improperly and illicitly installed, but it functioned well enough to offer strange new abilities to the viashino.
The Esper strike force was quickly dispatched as the Thunderers flew into the air, attacking them with waves of piercing psychic energy, and then fell on them flashing teeth made of the æther-infused metal.[1]
