Tiyint was a minotaur hero in the Dark Age of Terisiare, on the plane of Dominaria.[1]

History[]

Tiyint was a legendary hero to the Urhaalan Valley minotaurs of northwestern Terisiare during the Dark Age. Famously able to both wield magic and wade directly into battle as a fighter, his image was preserved as a massive statue carved into the mountainside of the Colekgan Mountains. During the war between the minotaurs and the elves of Eln Forest, the minotaur Mytaru summoned Tiyint's spirit into the statue, awakening it as a massive stone avatar of war.[1]

Although the walking stone colossus initially responded to the commands of Mytaru, slaughtering many of the elves and appearing to turn the war in the minotaurs' favor, a command uttered in battlelust suddenly turned the avatar against its summoners. Tiyint went on a rampage, killing many minotaurs and causing earthquakes as it went. Pardano, son of Aesor, was killed in a cave-in caused by one of these earthquakes. Eventually, Mytaru saw no other way out than to sacrifice himself by donning the Living Armor, causing the statue's life force to drain out even as it crushed Mytaru to death. [1]
