Description[ | ]
Mr. Towning is a kind, older man with pepper-gray hair, who runs the general store in Saddlebrush. He moves a bit slower these days, often pressing a hand to his back after lifting heavy crates, but he still maintains a warm and welcoming presence. Mr. Towning is practical and good-natured, always ready with a laugh and a kind word. He is grateful for the business Annie Flash brings to his store and holds a deep appreciation for her contributions to the town. Despite his age, Mr. Towning remains sharp and perceptive, understanding the dangers that come with the kind of money Annie brings in, but he trusts her judgment and values their longstanding partnership.[1]
History[ | ]
Mr. Towning greeted Annie Flash warmly when she entered his store, expressing surprise at her visit since he was planning a delivery to her ranch the next morning. When Annie placed a lockbox full of cash on the counter, Mr. Towning's face brightened. He divided the money into two equal parts, securing his share in a safe behind the counter and leaving Annie with her portion. Concerned, he asked if anyone might come looking for the money, but accepted Annie's assurance that it was safe. He thanked her for her contributions to the town, acknowledging that they likely wouldn't have survived without her. Mr. Towning then tossed Annie a shiny red apple, fulfilling her request for sweet grain for her mount, Fortune, and assured her it would be delivered in the morning.[1]
