Tree is a test card-only creature race used to represent non-sentient trees. Normally Treefolk is used to represent sentient tree creatures, and regular trees are categorized as plants (e.g. Tree of Redemption).

History

Singing Tree from Arabian Nights (1993) featured the creature type Singing-Tree, but that was changed to Plant for Masters Edition (2007).

Tree debuted as a creature type in 2023 as part of a Unknown Event test card at the 2023 Barcelona Unknown Event. It debuted on Maître Tree.
