oracle:"Verse counter"

Verse counters are used by a set of enchantments from Urza's Saga and one creature from Magic 2015.

The enchantments are part of two cycles (one at uncommon and one at rare):

If a player controls one of these enchantments during their upkeep, they may put a verse counter on it. The enchantment can be sacrificed for an effect multiplied by the number of verse counters on it at the time of sacrificing.

Yisan, the Wanderer Bard was printed, which, although it functions differently than the enchantments, uses verse counters to reflect the musical theme of the card.

Aria of Flame from Modern Horizons strands in direct traditions of the earlier enchantments however.
