The Voda Sea is the name of a sea in the Domains of Dominaria, connected to the Vodalian merfolk empire.
Description[]
The Voda Sea was originally located near Sarpadia, but when Galina led her people away from there and settled in their new location of Etlan Shiis, they brought the name of the sea with them. The original sea was then renamed Old Voda Sea.
The new Voda Sea lies east of Aerona and Shanodin and west of the Burning Isles.[1][2] As such, it is the crossroads for the greatest civilizations of Dominaria. The northern extent of the Voda Sea is Stahaan.[3] In the south it reaches to Ru-Nora and Sardnia, before changing into the Kukemssa Sea.
Trivia[]
- The name comes from the word "voda", originating in various Slavic languages, which means "water" in English.
- The Voda Sea shares its name with Slinn Voda, a massive leviathan, whom the merfolk appeased soon after they arrived in New Vodalia.[4] It bears a city on its back and will rise to meet any true threat to the Vodalian Empire.
