Vytas was a noble and an Umbris cultist from Traublassen, Innistrad.
Description[ | ]
Vytas was a man of ostentatious wealth and cultivated airs. He presented himself as a figure of high status and refinement, always clad in lavish garments of linen, silk, and velvet, adorned with fine gold trimming. His appearance was deliberately designed to evoke the image of a man of sophistication and power. Vytas was the lord of Traublassen, a village that his great-grandfather established and helped maintain. His demeanor was marked by an air of condescension and superiority, which he used to manipulate and control those around him. Despite his façade of nobility and benevolence, Vytas harbored darker ambitions and secrets that he carefully concealed behind his polished exterior.
History[ | ]
Vytas’s facade of wealth and influence hid his true nature as a manipulative and self-serving figure. He used his power to control the villagers and protect his interests. When Torens arrived in Traublassen, Vytas seized the opportunity to employ him for a task that aligned with his hidden agenda.
Vytas coerced Torens into investigating a supposedly haunted keep near the village, under the guise of protecting the town from potential threats. In reality, Vytas and his son Boris were part of a dark cult, and the keep was the center of their sinister activities. The keep's true purpose was to serve as a lair for the nightmare horror Umbris.
Torens discovered the horrifying truth when he found that the villagers, including the young Aleksandar, had been used as mental sacrifices to serve the demonic lord Umbris. Vytas’s ultimate goal was to keep the power and influence that the dark forces afforded him. The cult’s plans culminated in a violent confrontation, with the villagers turning against their former leaders once they realized they had been manipulated and tormented.
With Vytas's manipulation exposed, the villagers, once loyal to him, sought vengeance. Vytas met a brutal end at the hands of the mob, who were driven by a desire for retribution after learning of his true nature and the suffering he inflicted upon them. His death was a consequence of his hubris and the hidden evils he perpetuated under the guise of leadership. [1]
