The Weaver King was a villian in the Planar Chaos and Future Sight novels.

Background

The Weaver King was born Oleg el-Dal (later il-Dal), a brave Dal nomad warrior who opposed the Stronghold. Gradually his tribe was killed off, and eventually he led his remaining people to the Stronghold to swear alligence to the Evincar and start a new life in the City of Traitors. Most of the tribesmen became construction wrokers, masons and the like, but Oleg was imprisoned in the Stronghold dungeons and experimented on by Volrath, to pay for the soldiers he had killed. Months of mental abuse and solitary confinement ruined Oleg's mind, droving him mad. Volrath then put a mother and her young child in a labrynth with Oleg, and Oleg inadvertantly killed the child and possessed the mother. Oleg experimented with his newfound powers of possession and control. "Oleg il-Dal died at last, and the Weaver King was born," Planar Chaos pg. 82. When Volrath was overthrown by Crovax, the Weaver King was forgotten for many years. The Weaver King was brought to Urborg along with the Stronghold and became a shadow creature as part of the Rathi Overlay during Planeshift.
The Weaver King spent the next 300 years after the Phyrexian Invasion creating a vast web of mental strands between the inhabitants of Urborg, a web which he travels along like a spider, manipulating people and events for his own entertainment. Venser becomes his new favorite "toy", and he messes with many of Venser's plans during Planar Chaos, until Lord Windgrace puts a Gladehunter mark on Venser, which keeps the King out of Venser's mind.
Leshrac later found him and manipulated him toward Leshrac's own ends. This first was hinted at during Planar Chaos, when a voice tells the King that he is being watched, and when the Weaver King asks who he is, the voice says, "I walk the night, famous for it, really." Leshrac's plans are detailed in Future Sight.
Venser eventually kils The Weaver King when the former planewalks away from the King holding only the exterior of a pair of powerstones. The vast energy the powerstones held explodes outward, killing even the incorperal Weaver King.

Powers

Death

The Weaver King was killed by Venser. Venser was holding two powerstones but teleported away taking only the exterior of the powerstones with him; the massive energy inside the powerstones was no longer contained and exploded with enough force to kill even an insubstantial being like The Weaver King.
