Wyrvil is an orc kingdom in western Almaaz, part of the Terisian Isles on Dominaria.[1]
Description[]
Wyrvil is a fractious orc kingdom, ruled by a complex system of underkings and overkings that vie for loyalty over the realm's inhabitants. The orcs follow only the most skilled fighters, regardless of age, size, or wisdom. An example of this was the overking Rotapan, a small, aged half-orc of little wit, but of fierce fighting capabilities, who ruled the southernmost realm of Wyrvil in 3050 AR. This system of kratocracy leads to frequent challenges, overthrowals, betrayals, banishments, and civil wars within Wyrvil.[1]
Each overking rules over a section of the land of Wyrvil, and the underkings of that area follow the overking's bidding. The underkings each have a tribe of orcs to command and enjoy certain privileges and tributes from their followers. The underkings' missions often involve raiding and foraging into other overkings' domains, or the Erg Desert hunting for food or supplies. After a caravan traveling from Sumifa was attacked by an unusually aggressive band of orcs and destroyed, the caravan route through the western erg was abandoned completely, stopping all trade between Sumifa and Wyrvil.[1]
