Two Zendikar Rising Commander Decks are released together with Zendikar Rising.[2] These are meant to be on-ramps to Commander, with a few new cards (three per deck) and the rest reprints.[3]

Description[ | ]

There are six new cards (with printed set code ZNC and collector numbers #001–006) printed in the Zendikar Rising Commander Decks.[4] Two are mythic rare and the other four are rare. These cards are legal for play in the Commander, Vintage, and Legacy formats. They aren't legal for play in the Standard, Pioneer, or Modern formats. The other cards in these decks (with printed set code ZNC and collector numbers 007–142) are legal for play in any format that already allows those cards; that is, appearing in these decks doesn't change a card's legality in any format.

Like with Ikoria Commander, the new cards are themed to the world and the reprints can be from anywhere.

Contents[ | ]

Each package contains:

Note that the new packaging doesn't contain the oversized foil commander card that was part of previous products in the Commander series.[5][6]
